The Yell and Tell program is aimed at the young child who sees something dangerous, feels afraid and doesn’t know what to do. Many times this child will run away or be quiet because he/she doesn’t want to get into trouble or be called a tattletale. Sometimes a child is so afraid, he/she is too scared to do anything. The Yell and Tell program teaches children how to take action and be a hero. There are six teaching lessons to the program: Pools, Rivers/Lakes, Fire, Poison, Guns and Child Enticement. Each lesson covers a dangerous situation that a child might encounter. |

When using this program, the leader is encouraged to let children practice Yelling help to attract attention. Children learn by repetition so the leader goes over many different dangerous situations and has each child take a turn being the observer and Yelling help. Squawk, the parrot, is the mascot who shows children how to react and teaches them the Yell and Tell song which helps them remember what to do. |

Funding for Yell and Tell program comes from donations throughout the world. These donations are tax deductible. There is a nominal program service fee for both the standard and the premium teaching kits which will help defray the cost of the materials. These teaching materials will be distributed to schools, youth groups, camps, and any other organized gatherings of young children.
When hearing about the Yell and Tell program, people across the country have asked how they may help to bring this life saving program to the children in their community.
Contributions will be used to print program materials and distribute them for a nominal program service fee to schools, youth groups, camps, and any other organized gatherings of young children. |
